JANAT PARIS AT ISETAN – BONJOUR FRANCE 2017

From April 12th to 21 st , Janat Paris will participate to Bonjour France, the event will be held in Isetan in collaboration with the French Chamber of Commerce (CCIFJ). Ten special days dedicated to the promotion of the French gastronomy and lifestyle among the Japanese and French gourmet lovers in Tokyo.

 

LAUNCH OF THE ORIGINAL FRENCH OAK TEA

 

For Janat Paris, it is a perfect occasion to celebrate the Janat Paris history and share the genesis of the Tea House with the visitors. The Original French Oak tea was presented for the first time to the public in Japan. This tea is the essence of Janat Tea House. The French Oak tea is aged in Oak Barrel produced in the Champagne Region offering a unique tasting experience.

 

Back to the genesis of Janat Paris…

 

In 1888 during the construction of the Eiffel Tower, Janat Dores – founder of Janat Paris – met Gustave Eiffel – visionnaire and father of the Eiffel Tower which was served during the “Exposition Universelle” of 1889 in Paris.

 

WHEN CRAFTMANSHIP MEETS PASSIONATE ENGINEERING

 

Using French Oak Barrel to aging the tea leaves, created a unique deep flavor appreciated by world’s top sommeliers. The French Oak tea is made using a traditionally crafted oak barrel, made in France by “tonnelier” in the Champagne region.

 

Each barrel is unique from its material to its crafting, giving the tea a subtle nuances between each barrel and making each cup of tea unique.

 

The tea leaves are poured inside the barrel and matured. The oak wood of the barrel gives to the leaves a particular and unique smoky flavor.
